Memoriam to Alloy Lee Ha

Hailing from the humble fishing village of Mayaro, Alloy Lee Ha was a legendary teacher to many generations of students at Fatima College.

Fatima student from 1954 to 1959, he represented the school in Cricket, Football, Chess, and Badminton, and was a Scholarship winner. When he returned to Fatima as a teacher in 1966, he taught Maths and Add Maths, as well as EnglishLanguage, English Literature, French, Spanish, Latin, History and Geography. He was head of the department for Maths and Languages and served as Deans of Forms 3 and 5. He even served as Form 6 Dean, as well as Acting School Principal, both for short periods of time.

A number of Fatima teachers were actually students of Mr. Lee Ha. At different times, he taught Mr. Clifford Roach, Mr. Brash, Mr. Pierre, Mr. Joseph, Mr. Cooper, Mr. Ramdass and Fr. Mc Phillip.

Mr. Lee Ha retired in 2001 after 35 years of service and passed away on the 24th of April 2024. He has left an indelible impression on all who were taught by him.
