Fatima Old Boy Eldon George Brathwaite (Class of 1963), fondly known as ‘Biscuit’ by all his friends, in particular his schoolmates, passed away on Sunday 17th November 2024.
Eldon represented Fatima College in football and track and field, particularly in the 100m and 200m sprints. He excelled in the study of languages, which he started teaching at Fatima College before taking up studies at McGill University in Canada.
At the time he taught at Fatima, Father Anthony Pantin (who would later become Archbishop of Port of Spain ) renamed the cafeteria at Fatima College ‘Biscuit Corner’ to honour his achievement in languages. He went on to complete studies in international relations at UWI and subsequently was sent on scholarship by the government to study International Law at a University in Toulouse.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his family friends and schoolmates from Fatima. May his soul Rest in Peace.
